FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT
MY VISIT TO CRUMLAND FARMS
Can I bring my dog?
No dogs are not allowed unless they are a service dog.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable closed toe shoes, farm dirt, gravel, thistles and various weeds will make for sore toes tomorrow if you wear flip flops. Dress in layers, weather in the fall can change quickly. You'll be cold in the shade and hot in the sun some days. Your best bet is to check the weather forecast. With all the different activities you are bound to get a little dirty, wear something you won't care if it get chewed on by a goat, grass stains from chasing your friends or full of hay dust from rolling in the hay!
How long does the corn maze take?
It depends on the year, in heavy drought stricken year like 2010, the maze is not quite as difficult. Other years the corn will be very thick all season long. Expect a minimum of 30 minutes and up to 2 hours if you want to play the corn maze game to it's completion. After (or before) the corn maze you can count on an hour or two minimum to see all the other sights at Crumland.
What is the corn maze game?
You will be building a map as you go along the maze. There will be a farm employee to fully explain the game once you get there. Earlier in the season the game is much more difficult, before cheaters decide to make new paths. Feel free to scold these people as they knock down the corn I plan to feed this winter.
I want to take a hayride to pick a pumpkin, but don't want to get scared.
No worries, the pumpkin patch hayride and the Haunted Woods hayride are two entirely different rides, they even use a different wagon!
Do you take credit cards?
Yes, Visa and Mastercard are accepted.
What is that guy's deal in the parking lot? He sure seems to wave a lot.
He is trying to show you where to park. The ones who ignore him are the ones that decide parking cars three deep leaving someone else stuck will be just fine. (You see, when you park cars three deep, the middle car can't get out!)
I'm confused, the Starlight Maze Adventure does not specify 6:00 AM or PM, which is it?
Maybe you better just stay home...
